Argassi - Very good
Overall Argassi resort is a lovely place, the beach is a two minute walk and on the way there, there is a whole load of shops. For the beach, there isn't a lot of sand but there is enough. There is a whole load of water sports, we tried the Padeloes. We went on a trip to Lagana that was very good fun, as we were Turtle Spotting! ... more

Family orientated
Argassi is in the south of Zante, just a below Zakynthos. It's fairly family orientated, we went there with our kids, and loved it. Lots of good bars and restaurants, beach is not the white sand you see in the brochure with quite a lot of rocks and pebbles, but there are sandy bits and children loved playing in rockpools. If you go on holiday t ... more

Argassi, Zakynthos
Zante is a very beautiful island, if you go there you really have to take a boattrip to the shipwreck. Argassi is a cute little village with a lot of nightlife for beeing a small village. If you go there, rent a bike or a motorbike so you can get around. And donΒ΄t forget your driver licence! Even if you just want to rent a small moped 50 cc they ... more

Argassi was the most disappointing holiday ever...
If you're looking for a beach holiday..dont come here! The 'beach' is odd tiny stretches of dirty black shingle/sand between each hotel. By tiny, we mean only about 4 towels can fit on at once!! If you're looking for a holiday with Greek culture and tradition, then this is definitely not the place for you.... Every restaurant (even the tavernas and ... more

I was very impressed by all the in/outs of argassi
I was very impressed by all the in/outs of argassi, especially the friendly chap that owns the "Subway" sandwich place on the strip. It was a very clean establishment and affordable. The owner was a very pleasant young greek man. I would recommend this location for a nice sandwich to all. Thank You Mike from Zante. ... more

Argassi is a lovely place with lots of great restuarants and bars. The top three restuarants are peppermint kastaways and piccadilly and i would highly recommend them. But the only thing about argassi is that it is a very busy place in the day and at night. Argassi is nice, not a massive resort just 2 main streets
All the beach bars had lovely sunbeds with deep comfy cushions on them which were free to use if you just bought drinks snacks from the bar, etc. Beach was very narrow. At the place we went down to beach is clean, there are plenty of tavernas and bars to choose from. Not rowdy people just enjoying themselves, plenty of car bike quad hire pl ... more

I loved Argassi
The resort of Argassi is bustling but maintains the Greek charm, avoid the Chinese and fast food restaurants, there are loads of traditional Greek tavernas that offer delicious Greek dishes! Whilst in Argassi, I recommend getting the tourist bus that runs to zante town and back several times a day, we went in the evening, plenty of great restau ... more

This was my first trip back to Argassi after 16 years and I was delighted to find that it wasn't much changed ... very Greek ... time works at its own pace. After visiting every resort on Zante I would say this is the best family type resort. One main thro street with shops / bars either side. Argassi was quite nice but a bit too British for my taste
Argassi was quite nice but a bit too British for my taste, Zante town was ok but not on the stamp of other greek islands, if you like full english breakfast every day you will love it. there were some nice restaurants and all the greeks were really friendly. there is no beach to speak of in Argassi, but rent a car a get out and about. ... more

Argassi is a little resort with a small beach
Argassi is a little resort with a small beach which is not very clean but we found a beach club with free sunloungers on a grass verge and private pool, and if you buy a drink the owner lets you stay all day which is fantastic for chilling out on the beach front. Plenty of bars and restaurants not many family bars resort appears to cate ... more
