GREAT HOTEL, BRILLIANT AND FRIENDLY FAMILY RUN, AMAZING GREEK FOOD IN TAVERNA, LOVELY BAR, BAR SNACKS AND PRICES.
Barbeque night was awesome, the food, which is cooked in front of you and accompanied by salads, side dishes and meze (all for 10 euros) is the best. This is followed by Karaoke run by a a fun Scots guy Paul, great voice ... more

Kalamaki is located only 10 minutes drive from the airport so transfer times to resort should be quite short. Despite being near the airport, aircraft noise is not a problem as there are no night flights and during the day the landing aircraft provide an interesting spectacle. Kalamaki has one long main street so tends to be a bit fragmented, l ... more

Kalamaki is a nice little resort. The beach is lovely, really sandy and pictoresque. It is a quiet resort with not that much to do, so its helpful if you hotel has good entertainment. It is near Laganas which is more rowdy, and it has a McDonalds which we went to for a treat. ... more

Loved it and we will go back again. There was lots of different places to eat and everyone we went into we had a fantastic meal at a very reasonable price. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly, those we returned to remembered us and made us feel very welcome. We had a car and so saw all the island but was very pleased thet we had staye ... more

We found Kalamaki a very relaxing place to stay with good night life if you want just 4 km away at Laganos. A Tavena and evening bar is located on site with good range of tavernas for evening meals just short walk away.We strongly recommed a visit to Milo's restaurant. ... more

| Lovely peaceful Kalamaki |

Kalamaki is a lovely little quiet place. The beach in Kalamaki isn't great, but if you walk about 30 minutes along, you'll reach Laganas beach which is slightly better although not very sandy. There are many resturarants and bars which serve food and snacks. I would definitely recommend 'Milo's' restaurant. Very reasonably priced and gorgous fo ... more

This resort is fine if you want somewhere quiet to chillout and relax. There are several nice resaurants, reasonably priced - Paulo's did lots of nice Greek dishes as well as pizza/pasta and had a little play area. Georgia's did excellent Greek food. Both were very child friendly and had plenty of high chairs, etc. The local bakery does fantast ... more

Lots to do plenty of trips food was really good and the cocktails even better. We had some storms when we were there so could not go out one night. But by the next day you would not think we had. Kalamaki its self is a nice friendly place although there seems to be a lot of places closed down it never looked dirty or unkempt. ... more

Typical Greek resort. Tours, and knockoff handbag shops. greek restaurants must think the Brits have chips with everything. very difficult to find an outstanding restaurant, they are all pretty much of the same poor standard which due to the poor showing of the pound against the euro is becoming more pricey every year. Go shopping in a Greek " ... more

Kalamaki is a quieter resport then neighbouring Lagana but there are still plenty of bars and restaurants. The people are very friendly, the resort itself is not over-priced and the beach is more natural than the regimented beaches found in some tourist areas, because of the nesting turtles. An umbrella and sun loungers are 6euro for the day ... more

| A great resort for a relaxing holiday. |

Kalamaki is a quieter resort compared to the neighbour resort of Laganas, but there is still plenty of restaurants and bars to keep you entertained. The variety of entertainment includes, Karaoke, fire shows, big screen TVs, quiz’s, Greek nights and there is a couple of bars that stay open until the early hours. Some of the places I would re ... more

I heartily agree with the last review of the Rainbow Hotel in Kalamaki. Athena and Nikos will do all they can to make your visit the absolute best. The Taverna is run by Niko's father who does a great job and nothing is too much trouble at all. We too had some great Karaoke and Killer Pool nights with the rest of the people here and we saw the band ... more
