I cannot rate this hotel/resort highly enough.....myself, husband and 3 year old daughter have just returned from a two week stay at the Alykanas Village Hotel. Quick transfer from airport to Hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we were lucky enough to have been given a room with a balcony facing the pretty beach, with panaromic view of the coastline and views of Kaefolina. Rooms clean and maid service most days. Pools are great, the front pool, on the beach front, being the quieter of the two. The beach is clean and the water is clear and warm, perfect for our 3 year old as it is quite shallow. Kids club was excellent and well run, my daughter loved it and went for 2 hours every day of the holiday. We ate at many of the restaurants and didnt ever have a bad meal. Some of our favourites being Cosy Corner (a bit of home from home with lovely friendly staff!), Lemon tree (which does a great greek night), Nerida (5 min walk along the beach) and Mantalena - all of which have lovely areas for the kids to play. We visited the Cuba bar most evenings - does great cocktails! We took a boat trip to the shipwreck with \"Golden Dolphin\" company located on the beach outside the Nerida restaurant. It is a lot cheaper than booking with Thomsons and you go on a small boat which gets you to the shipwreck before all the big boats do (some carrying 200 people!) Excellent trip as it also takes you to the Blue Caves. Overall an excellent holiday, I cannot fault it, perfect for families with young children! Will we go back? Absolutely!
