Alykanas was a very quiet resort. Plenty of restuarants and bars but no other entertainment for the evening - OK if you didn't have children. The horse and cart was a nice way to get to the restuarant although got fed up with all the flyers that were handed out every evening as we left our accommodation. Would recommend Dionisos, Greedy Greek, Apollo to eat - Good food all with play areas for the very young. Plenty of trips on offer from the locals and cheaper than the tour operators. Not much in Zante town but the water park was a good day out. When we go again we would definitely hire a vehicle to see other parts of the island. Airport was not as bad as expected (although the toilets were appaling) the airport was very small and not many staff to help with arrivals and departures.
