The resort of Argassi is bustling but maintains the Greek charm, avoid the Chinese and fast food restaurants, there are loads of traditional Greek tavernas that offer delicious Greek dishes! Whilst in Argassi, I recommend getting the tourist bus that runs to zante town and back several times a day, we went in the evening, plenty of great restaurants to choose from (takes 10 mins max), we took the local bus to the waterpark which turned up on time & was cheap, waterpark worth a visit, we took a local tour operator excursion to the loggerhead turtles... was not disappointed. Have to say though that this boat trip does offer you the chance of swimming in the caves, the water is very deep, so if this is not to your liking - maybe wasted time on this trip. Argassi good location to explore the whole island, and only 10mins transfer from the airport! We loved it and are a young couple ... I can imagine would suit all ages. (and the weather reached 36°C/100°F ).
