I spent 2 weeks in Argassi on the island of Zante last year and really enjoyed it. The town is quite during the day with a lot of pubs. Although being only a small town it has enough good resturants to last you two weeks (one every night). The accomadation is good and the food excellent - although the Greek people have realised that the mojarity of the tourists are British so it is mostly Chips and Steak but you can venture into ""swordfish soflaki"" (swordfish kebab which I recommend). The only downer to Argassi is that the beach there is often very crowded as it is so small. However you can take boat trips around and go to the Nichlos Beach which wonderful. I thoroughly recommend this holiday as it is a lovely hot area of the world.
