Kalamaki Zakynthos it was brilliant

My boyfriend and I have just got back from Rainbow apartments in Kalamaki, Zakynthos, and it was brilliant! We had booked as self-catering, 2 star hotel, allocate on arrival, so we were starting to get really nervous that it would be awful. When we arrived, we were shown to our rooms by a really friendly woman who's english was perfect! The down side of our room was that it was in the old part of the apartments, and wasn't newly furbished like the rest of them, but that didn't really make much difference. The rooms were very basic, as expected in greece, and we were actually quite privalaged to have a shower curtain! The apartments, we found out, were family run, which made it seem a lot nicer. All the staff would strive to help us, and one of the bar men in particular was really nice and a good laugh. <
