Kalamaki beach is occupied by turtles and is closed at night in order to protect them. During the daytime you can actually swim quite close to them and they are spotted a lot. The beach is dark and sandy, with a lot of seaweed but if you walk for 10-15 minutes you come to Lagana beach, where the water is a lot clearer and sand cleaner. We went to Kalamaki in May and found the entertainment to be okay but it is probably a lot better in high season. | |
