Kalamaki has the usual assortment of bars and restuarants, the Down Under bar is by far the best bar, we ate in a different restaurant most nights, the food was generally good everywhere, not much else in the way of entertainment though. The beach is full of locals at the weekend which must be a plus vote, water clear, warm, shallow, sunbeds cheap, good bars and food available, sand gets too hot to walk on in bare feet, we prefered the beach to the hotel. Zante airport is a nightmare, you queue outside in the heat for 2 hours to check in, then you get herded outside again to wait for a call your flight is boarding, then they'll let you through passport control to the departure area. The First Choice reps did a runner as soon as we were checked in and we had to rely on the Olympus reps to let us know | |
