Kalamaki is quite a good resort which is by far the nicer resort than Laganas (which is like Blackpool on a bad day). The Kalamaki beach is nice (pedalos are quite expensive at 10 euros per hour) but sun beds are 7 euros for the whole day which is quite good. The restaurants are generally good though it is worth hiring a bike/quad/moped locally and touring the island - lots of gorgeous restaurants looking over the sea. One in particular (best restaurant and best food in the whole island) is the Piano bar on road from Zante Town to Argasi which overlook the sea and Zante town - definitely worth a visit! Kalamaki is in danger of joining the over commercialised resort feel of Laganas which would be a shame as we don't need anymore 'Laganas style' resorts!
