Kalamaki isnt a very traditional resort, but it is in a good location, close to the airport and other resorts such as Laganas and Zakynthos town. There were plenty of bars and restaurants, Tesoro being our favourite by a mile. It is an open air traditional greek taverna. The food, staff and service were consistently absolutely fantastic.
I wouldnt recommend eating at Castello. Despite being told night after night by the annoying man outside that it is fantastic, we sat on 5 chairs before we found ones that werent broken, then we were served warm beer, and the prawns in our prawn cocktail had obviously gone off as they were green! We eventually got fed up of waiting for a replacement starter so spoke to the manager who was not one bit apologetic and was just downright rude so we left.
