Kalamaki is based on a main street of bars, shops and a few discos. It is unspoilt in comparison to other resorts we have been to, and pretty tavernas and bars are dotted around the resort. Main bars shut at 12 and discos run into the early hours behind closed doors. Horse and carriage trips take you around the resort for 20 euros. It is worth noting that it is near the airport and we did see planes coming into land, but it was quite exciting to see. If you have teenage children who want a bit of life this is perfect. Cocktails really cheap about 2.50 euros. The beach is not surrounded by hotels, but grassy banks.Because of the turtles, we were not alllowed on the beach after 7pm.
