Kalamaki was very quiet during the first week of May, it soon started to open up with new restaurants & bars unveiled every day. Due to large crowds in the summer a lot of the restaurants are now serving frozen food similar to that found in a well known German firm based in U.K (i think this is for swiftness & convienience) The Pandenesia among others is guilty of such things.

To avoid this visit the Garden, Laganas/Kalamaki road as you reach the pharmacy in Kalamaki turn left pass the large restaraunt you first see (keep this one for later) carry on past the small church (outside w.c here if required) and on for 200/300 yards onyour right is the Garden, brilliant food/staff/prices. try it!
Pavements are cr*p in Kalamaki but to be fair to most hotel / bar ownwres they all have ramps f
