Nearly all hotels you can use the facilities, you do not have to be staying at that particular hotel, so if you do have a bad experience you only need to use your hotel as a sleeping base. Lots of good hotels, and again I would recommend Sofias. Lovely rooms, warmest pool and everything done for you. If you have kids or are a kid at heart, this place is for you. Free Wii, X Box and Playstation. Every TV channel you could want on numerous screens, so all the family are kept happy. Good food, although they do not do evening meals. Also good for breakfast is the Vanessa Hotel. Lively place but not party town which is great. Local crazy golf ran by lovely friendly guy, and you can even go grab a beer off him halfway through the course. Trips are quite cheap, which can be booked in the resort. Be aware of the day cruise around the island. It says it stops in the caves and at Shipwreck Island. We did not do either as the weather was not suitable. Whilst I accept this, the boat was a death trap, with fumes sending everyone to sleep. Never seen so many sick people. It was also a boring trip, as all we did for 8 hours was sail around the island looking at the coastline of cliffs. When the captain announced we were not far from landing, the cheer that went around the boat was unbelievable. Better off doing the turtle only cruise.Kalamaki is a good place to go if you want a cheap, relaxing holiday, but do check accomodation reviews first.
