 Very disturbed to read your article. I spent six weeks on Laganas beach in 1987 and have mentioned it in the first nine chapters of my book The A BC of Drowning. http://www.ashleybolch.co.uk/
There were a few Brits out there that year, protesting against the development of the beach.
I'd heard since that it had been given special status to protect the turtles, so I can't understand why it's status has now gone into decline.
If anyone has any further news would they please get in touch.
