Set within beautiful wooded countryside, the area of Agios Sostis has a charm all of its own. This is true Greece where life continues very much in the local tradition. The working fishing harbour and marina is a starting point for many of the boat trips around the island, and the long sandy beach which shelves gently into the sea is absolutely ideal for children. There are also a couple of beach bars that serve cool drinks and delicious lunches (you should definitely try The Harbourside), with several more tavernas and an excellent fish restaurant to be found close by. Just up the hill from the beach there is a hotel that has a swimming pool and bar that is open to non-residents.
