The last time I visited the island was in the beginning of June as I prefer it either in the beginning of the season or at the end. It's much more peaceful then at the beach plus we prefer to avoid the extreme heat, you know when the sand gets too hot and you try to figure how high can you jump till your feet touch water? Things though didn't go according to our plans? First I have to mention that I was born in Greece and in particular in Zakynthos where as a kid I used to spend all my summers (you should have seem my tan those days?) . So this time I wanted to go as a tourist and not to stay with relatives as I wasn't alone anymore. So we booked a week in Alykes with Going Places which included of course self catering accommodation. I was all too excited to go back after all that time, almost five
