The resort of Alykanas is a pleasure to visit. It has many shops, supermarkets and bars and there is plenty to see and do. We enjoyed evening walks along the beach, superb food in many of the tavernas and very friendly locals. Alykanas is a traditional greek holiday resort and would suit anyone seeking a fun beach holiday away from the ""Faliraki"" type of place which can be found at the south of the island in Laganas. Alykanas is only a walk away from Alykes and there is good transport to Tsilivi for more nightlife. The beach is gorgeous, clean and very safe for children as it is very shallow for at least 20 or 30 yards. My wife and I will probably return to this resort.
