Tsilivi is now quite a large sprawling town with one long main road and splits into another which again splits of with numerous roads leading to the beach.
There are a lot of greek tavernas remaining, but a McDonalds opened just as we were leaving, and there were restaurants there catering for the egg and chip brigade - ""roast dinners just like your mum makes"", etc.
We went early in the season it was busy but you didn't feel packed in, but I imagine in high season the numerous bars would be full. The beach bars are great for kids as most have playgrounds, and free sunbeds if you buy a drink, which saves a bit on sunbed hire on the beach.
We hired a car and saw almost all of the island, and there are some absolutely beautiful non crowded beaches in the south and a delightful little | |
