Volimes are two beautiful, graphic villages, Ano and Kato Volimes. They are two settlements keeping almost untouched their traditional identity, as most of the houses stayed intact by the earthquakes. They are located in the northwest part of the island, 30km from the town. They are two quiet villages with big fame, as in the region is the graphic port of Agios Nikolaos, from which it is easy to reach the great Galazies Spilies and the famous beach of Navagio. In Volimes and more specifically in the location of Mikro Nissi, you will see the Venetian Castle of the 14th century. In the same region is the monastery were Saint Gerasimos was a monk, as and the monastery of Anafonitria, where Saint Dionysios was. In Volimes you will find rooms to let providing a quiet and comfortable accommodation.
