With all the sun in Sheffield my memory wandered back a few years to a holiday with some of my friends on one of the Ionian Islands, Zante. Zakynthos, as its Greek inhabitants know it, is not as visited by foreign travellers as its two more famous compatriots Corfu and Cephalonia, all off the Greek west coast, but it is the same size and has just as much to offer. I would definitely go here if you looking for a peaceful holiday in the sun.
My friends and I decided that we take the holiday after our A-levels had finished and Zante was chosen because no-one had been there before and it was a little cheaper than other holidays to Ibiza, Tenerife and the like.
