 As a Canadian descended from Zante, I believed I can be objective in my description of the island. I've been 9 times from 1987 to 2007, so I've seen the island evolve.
Zakynthos is good for all ages: kids, young adults, adults, families, retirees, etc. but you gotta know what you are looking for.
For families with young children, I recommend Alykes, Alykanas and Tsilivi, because of their sandy beaches and shallow waters.
For young adults, go in July August because Laganas, mini Ibiza, is rocking. Beware:its very hot weather wise!
For couples, I recommend June and September: 28 to 31 degrees and great weather, cool nights; less craziness; try Vassillikos, tsilivi and Alykes
For retirees, May and October are the best months; weather is 21-26 degrees. very quiet...tranquile... | |
