We have just returned from the Island and although we didnt stay in Laganas we have been there. The beaches are not too fantastic , but there are stretches further away from the main beach that are quite nice. Its a great place to go on a pedlo to see the turtles and probably cheaper that way too. There is a water park which is great, very clean, great facilities and greta slides. Entry fee was 18 euro when we went but you needto get there. We stayed in Tsilivi which has a brilliant beach, lovely small village. Hope this helps
