the resort of alikanas is a great all-rounder, lovely beach with the cleanest water i have ever seen in europe. there are so many good restaurants but our favourite was the mantelana, their greek home cooking is truly greek, they must have a secret herb recipe! try anything from the meats list which has been roasted on the spit, all are beautiful. if you fancy a late night drink there are plenty of places, all of which will serve until the sun shows up if required. it is however, nothing at all like laganas, no idiotic british teenagers being sick in the gutter-even at 4AM, people go out to enjoy a good meal and a good drink. there are so many places to visit, i think it will be a while before we return to alikanas, i hope if we ever do though, it has not surrendered itself to the curse of the mass british market, it does
